The Eco Site Award is totally free and unbiased. Upon applying for the Award you will generally receive an official notice within 4 weeks.

The Eco Site Award is provided to a website whether personal or commercial based upon the following criteria:

An award is given to a site based upon its commitment towards one or all of the following features:

Devoted to Health:
Websites that are designed and maintained towards providing valuable information regarding health, whether it is our health, the health of our pets, our planet or otherwise. Providing an award in this category to a site does not necessarily mean we endorse the site, simply that we believe the site is dedicated towards promoting good health.
Eco Site Awards always reserves the right to determine what does or does not apply to the standards of inclusion for this category.

Promotion of Safety:
A site that exists to promote safety would fall in this category and be subject to approval for our Eco Site Award. Safety can take many forms from safety in our home, on our job or in our general every day experiences. A website that is focused on providing us information about safety in any form or category would likely qualify for the Eco Site Award. Presentation of the Eco Site Award does not necessarily mean we endorse the site, simply that we beleive it deserves recognition for the information it provides. Eco Site Awards always reserves the right to determine what does or does not apply to the standards of inclusion for this category.

Focused on Ecology:
Ecology can take many forms. A site can be providing information on how to "Green" your home or business, how to conserve energy, lower your carbon footprint, save a tree, clean the air, remediate pollution or chemical imbalances and much more. Our standard of definition on ecology or eco is that a site is concerned with living things in relation to the environment, however, this is not all inclusive. These are just the guidelines we work within. A website that is "eco-centered", or focused on ecology would likely deserve recognition from Eco Site Awards in this category. Presenting an award to a site based upon its focus on Ecology does not necessarily mean we endorese the site simply that we believe the site is worthy of recognition. Eci Site Awards always reserves the right to determine what does or does not apply to the standards of inclusion for this category.

In addition to the above, before deciding whether a site qualifies for an Eco Site Award we also look at technical factors including but not limited to site navigation, overall design, whether or not a site is updated frequently and style of design. Our reviewers are web professionals and do not hold bias against a site in this regard but simply examine the site for overall professionalism and score the site accordingly.

Sites that automatically do not qualify for an Eco Site Award:
Sites that are hosted by free hosting services do not qualify for an Eco Site Award. If you believe that your content is original enough and provides the type of information or services that would be valuable to a visitor and good neough to win the Eco Site Award we suggest you obtain your own domain name and migrate your site to a paid hosting service. The cost of a domain name is very minimal and there are many good quality low cost hosting services available.

Sites that do not provide information related to the theme of the Eco Site Award of Health, Safety and Ecology, automatically do not qualify.

Sites that are considered offensive by normal community standards or promote hate, violence or pornography do not qualify for an Eco Site Award.

 

Submission Rules:
Only submit your site once. If a site is resubmitted more than once it will go to the bottom of the list. The Eco Site Awards review committee always has the final determination as to whether a site will be given an award an applying for an award does not guarantee inclusion.

 

Award Notification Linking Information:
Once you have been notified of receipt of the Eco Site Award you may place the provided linking information to the Eco Site Award on your site. In addition, we provide a cross link to your site on our Awards page. This link inclusion will benefit your site by providing additional cross linkage relevancy and exposure. And it also lets your visitors know that your site has been found worthy of recognition. The linking information provided by us must be applied as provided by us in order to qualify for having your site information placed on our awards page. If a site that has received the Eco Site Award in our opinion no longer qualifies for the award for any reason whatsoever within our discretion, upon receiving due notice from us via email or regular mail the graphic must be removed from the respective website. The award graphic is unique and original, is copyrighted or duly copyrightable and is and always shall remain the sole property of the Eco Site Award website.
